The company was founded in 2007 and is located in the Northern California town of Healdsburg. The employees of SmartMotion Technology are dedicated to providing outstanding customer service and delivering a quality product to all of our customers. The History of the SwingChair

The vision of using motion, which was developed by the inventor, was to create an ergonomic chair to alleviate back discomfort. This was entirely different from any other office chair ever created. A back pain sufferer who had tried many other options decided to try to find his own solution. It wasn't the work of a moment.

For several years, the motion idea was experimented with in various ways. Finally, the unique dynamic counterbalancing that ensured the seat bottom and the backrest swung from pivot points approximately level with the body's center of motion at the hips was discovered and solved the problem. The idea of a SwingChair was locked in, patented and a prototype was created. It worked for one, would it work for others?

Testing began with others who suffered from back pain and related office chair ailments. Additional people who tried the SwingChair were helped by its unique design.

The company was formed in 2007 to start producing the chair. More than 10,000 SwingChairs have been produced since the company started production.
