This is made possible by the fact that your body’s center of gravity (“CG” in drawing), center of pelvic rotation (“HP”) are virtually contiguous. When seated, your center of lumbar flexion (“ICLF”) is at the same height above the seat as your centers of gravity. SwingChair’s mechanism makes full advantage of these coincident centers of movement by independently suspending the seat and backrest from a point (“CR-1”) near your center of gravity. When you sit down, the seat instantly moves to the ideal angle to support your legs and hips, and the backrest independently finds the ideal angle to support your back. Every time you move, they independently adjust to follow you.
